No nominations for eight GP seats

As many as eight seats in gram panchayats in T. Narsipur, Periyapatna and Hunsur taluks have not received any nominations. Monday was the last date for filing nominations for the May 29 poll. Nomination has not been filed for two seats in Vaddarakoppal constituency in Maliyur GP in T. Narsipur taluk. In Periyapatna taluk, three seats, which were reserved for Scheduled Caste (general), Scheduled Caste (women) and general (women); and in Habatoor constituency of Chowthi GP received no nominations.

Nominations were not received also in Agrahara constituency of Mookanahalli GP and Devarahalli constituency in Halebeedu GP in Hunsur taluk. — Special Correspondent
