Bharath (14) and Chowri Bai (55) of the village had died while undergoing treatment. Since then, the Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences set up a camp in the village to treat the affected people. “So far, 93 people have been admitted to different hospitals in the district. While two have died, the rest are recovering. A woman aged about 104 years is undergoing treatment at HIMS,” he said.

The Health and Family Welfare Department collected the samples of water and found that water supplied to the village was not suitable for drinking.
