People of villages on the route of National Highway 150, passing from Yadgir district headquarters to Raichur district, have been waiting to see a bus service between the two districts.
Inter-state permit sought by the North East Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NEKRTC) in Yadgir to provide a bus service through the neighbouring Telangana has been delayed, lengthening this wait.
The only bus plying between Raichur and Yadgir connecting Devasugur, Kadechur, Saidapur and Ramasamudra was withdrawn two years ago for reasons better known to the officials.

Many requisitions were submitted by the villagers to the district officials to resume a bus service from Yadgir to Raichur in order to prevent disruption of regular work due to non-availability of bus services. But no action has been taken on the matter yet.
“This has turned out to be an unsolved problem and we are forced to travel by private vehicles to reach Raichur,” a resident of Kadechur village said.

According to officials of NEKRTC in Yadgir, an inter-state permit was needed to operate buses between Yadgir and Raichur as around 15 km of NH 150 fell in Telangana state (and was earlier in Andhra Pradesh). The application for the permit was pending with the State government, the source said.
Minister for Transport Ramalinga Reddy told The Hindu on Friday over phone from Bengaluru that he would discuss the issue with the officials concerned and resolve it at the earliest.
