Though the Karnataka High Court on Thursday cleared the decks for collection of toll on NH 7, on the way to Bengaluru International Airport and Bellary, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is yet to recommence the collection.

NHAI sources told The Hindu the contractor is yet to get the certified copy of the court order as on Friday evening. He can commence toll collection within half an hour of receiving the order, the sources said, and hoped it lands on Saturday.

Justice Ravi Malimath on Thursday had vacated an injunction against toll collection granted by a civil court in Devanahalli in April this year. The NHAI had challenged the civil court order through a writ petition before the High Court.
