Netaji’s birth anniversary celebrated

The 118th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was celebrated with enthusiasm. School children took out processions and organised seminars on the contribution of Netaji in the freedom struggle.

Organisations including the All India Democratic Student Organisation (AIDSO), All India Democratic Youth Organisation (AIDYO), Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishat and others took out processions in the city carrying the portraits of Netaji and shouting slogans praising his contribution.

Seminar

The Netaji Nagarika Samiti organised a special seminar on his life and contribution. Freedom fighter Vidyadar Guruji inaugurated the programme and Bhaskar Rao Mudbol delivered a special lecture.

Prominent among others who participated were the former Minister Revu Naik Belamgi, the former MLC Shashil G. Namoshi, Vijayakumar Kalmankar and others.

Youth summit

Netaji Subash Chandra Bose Co-operative Credit Society organised a half-day youth summit in Belagavi. Columnist Chakravarty Sulibele spoke on ‘History of Indian Independence and Lessons in Inspiration’. Society chairman M.B. Zirali and others spoke on various topics.
