More than 70% voter turn-out in Chickballapur

Elelction to 150 Gram Panchayats in Chickballapur district was held on Tuesday. The polling was by and large peaceful and more than 70 percent voters exercised their right to franchise.

People were seen standing in queues to vote across the district. There was no dearth of enthusiasm among the disabled and senior citizens to participate in the democratic process.

A 90-year-old woman cast her vote at Kadirinayakanahalli polling booth in Chickballapur taluk, while a physically disabled woman exercised her right at Varlakonda in Gudibande taluk.
