Modi to campaign in Karnataka

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who was recently inducted into the BJP’s parliamentary board, will be the star campaigner in the Assembly elections in the State, said the former Chief Minister and BJP vice-president D.V. Sadananda Gowda.

Talking to presspersons here on Tuesday, Mr. Sadananda Gowda said Mr. Modi, who is expected to be the face of the party in 2014 Lok Sabha polls, campaigned during the last Assembly elections.

Earlier at a party meeting, he was all praise for Mr. Modi and said he was the new hope of the party. “I am fortunate to be a part of the team led by party president Rajnath Singh, L.K. Advani and Mr. Modi that is working to bring the National Democratic Alliance government back to power,” he said.
