Meeting held to condole death of Manohar Parrikar

A meeting was held at the BJP office in the city on Monday to condole the death of Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar who passed away on Sunday.

Addressing the meeting, S. Rudre Gowda, MLC and president of BJP district unit, said that even after scaling great heights in politics, Mr. Parrikar had remained accessible to common people. His simplicity and unassuming personality should serve as a model for all politicians, he said.

Speaking on the occasion, K.B. Ashok, Shivamogga Rural MLA, lauded the contributions of Mr. Parrikar as Chief Minister of Goa and as Union Defence Minister.
