The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has threatened to close down businesses and commercial establishments functioning in the city without trade license.
MCC Commissioner C.G. Betsurmath set a deadline of one week for businesses and commercial establishments to obtain trade licences by contacting their respective zonal commissioner's offices; or face action from the civic body.
Pointing out that obtaining a trade licence was mandatory under Section 353 of the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act 1976, Dr. Betsurmath said any business or commercial establishment functioning without a trade licence was unauthorised.
