One person was killed after being hit by a motorbike at Anjar village near here on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Fakirappa. According to the police, the victim was hit by the motorbike, which was travelling towards Hiriyadka, at 7.20 a.m. Both Fakirappa and the motorbike rider, Deepak, fell onto the ground. A severely injured Fakirappa was rushed to a private nursing home in Hiriyadka, where doctors pronounced him dead. Deepak, who too sustained injuries, has been shifted to a hospital in Udupi. The police have registered a case.
