If unconventional is what your child likes in music, Tribal Jam would be the place for him/her. Students get to make musical instruments such as drums, kalimba, horn, ektara, pan pipes and flute among, others, and then take them home.
‘Tribal Jam – Music – Make – Freedom – World Play – Band – Jam – Compose’ by Jessica Morwddo and Daniel Ship is being brought here by the British Library in association with EDU Art Solutions on September 2 for children in the age group of 7 to 12.
This three-hour workshop, a release said, would give students an overview of musical instruments from different countries. They can choose the one they like best, make it, jam on it with other musicians, and at the end of the workshop, take it home to enjoy any time they want. The aim of this workshop is to sensitise children to the basics of harmony, rhythms and beats, it added.
