H. Maheshappa, Vice-Chancellor of Visvesvaraya Technological University has advised students to develop a vision to identify their goals and empower themselves to achieve them.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of ‘Lead Prayana 2015’, organised by Deshpande Foundation and VTU here on Saturday, he said goals could not be achieved through shortcuts but only through dedication and hard work clubbed with creative and visionary thinking.

Mr. Maheshappa said that an incubation centre for entrepreneurs had been setup on the Jnana Sangama campus of the university. Ajay, functional head, LEAD Programme, inaugurated the ceremony. It concluded with the flagging off a 16-day ‘leadership journey’ in which 14 role models and eight speakers will reach out to 10 destinations before it culminates on February 7.
