Kumaraswamy: Will address woes of sericulture growers

Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy on Monday said that the government was committed to addressing the woes of sericulture growers in the State.

A meeting has been convened in Bengaluru on Tuesday to discuss the matter. Ministers and officials would attend the meeting, he said in Ramnagaram on Monday.

Mr. Kumaraswamy visited Ramnagaram on Monday. It was his maiden visit to the town after taking charge as Chief Minister.

He had two marathon meetings, one with the district-level officials and another with sericulture growers, where he tried to understand the problems of the district as well as those of the sericulture growers. He also heard the grievances of the public.

He also inaugurated/laid foundation stone for development works worth ₹50 crore.

He was accorded a grand welcome and honoured by Adichunchanagiri Mutt seer Nirmalanandanatha Swami at the school for blind children run by the mutt.
