Mandya Karnataka 28_May_2017 :Former Chief Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) State unit president H.D. Kumaraswamy criticised BJP leader and former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa - for “misleading people” by often raising loan-waiver issues in his speeches – during his visit to Mandya on May 28, 2017

Janata Dal (Secular) State president and the former Chief Minister, H.D. Kumaraswamy, has criticised BJP State president B.S. Yeddyurappa for “misleading people” by often raising the issue of crop loan waiver in his speeches.

Addressing presspersons near Sir. M. Vivesvaraya statue off the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway here on Sunday on his way to Mysuru, Mr. Kumaraswamy said that Mr. Yeddyurappa did not waive crop loans availed by farmers from cooperative banks when he was the Chief Minister.

Mr. Yeddyurappa had also said that he “did not have currency printing machines”, Mr. Kumaraswamy said. Most probably, he would have received such a machine from Prime Minister Narendra Modi now, the JD (S) leader said. Mr. Kumaraswamy said that he would contest the forthcoming Assembly elections from Ramanagaram constituency. Reacting to a question, he said, “Party workers from north Karnataka are forcing me to contest from their region. Senior Congress leader H. Vishwanath has still not quit his party. But, he is interested to the JD (S).”
