A.S. Channabasappa, convenor of the district unit of Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha, has said that his sangha, in association with various organisations, will launch ‘Vidhana Soudha chalo’ rally on April 28, seeking fulfilment of their various demands.
Addressing presspersons here on Friday, Mr. Channabasappa said that under the banner of ‘Protect farmer's and farm workers and oppose multinational companies taking up farming’ the KRRS would oppose the pro-corporate sector policies of the government. He said the land and water were the farmers’ right and no government could claim ownership on them. Stating that a farmers’ convention would be held at the Freedom Park on April 28, he called upon students, youths and members of women organisation,Dalit organisations to participate.
