ISRO chairman to attend graduation day of SJCE

A.S. Kiran Kumar, chairman, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Bengaluru, will be the chief guest at the sixth graduation day of Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE), an autonomous institution, here on October 31.

A total of 938 BE, 216 M.Tech, 53 MCA and 127 MBA candidates will be conferred degrees as per the regulations for 2015-16, according to SJCE principal Syed Shakeeb-ur Rahman. On the occasion, 39 medals will be awarded to the students of which 27 medals will be conferred on the students who have scored highest marks in respective branches of both undergraduate and postgraduate.

Besides, 12 endowment medals will also be awarded, the principal told reporters here on Wednesday.

The graduation day will be held at the college campus at 11 a.m. Mr. Kiran Kumar will also deliver the graduation day address. The medals will be presented to the students by Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swami of Suttur Mutt, who is also the president of JSS Mahavidyapeeta.

JSS Mahavidyapeeta executive secretary, B.N. Betkerur, will administer oath to the graduates. M.H. Dhananjay, Director (Projects and Development), and C. Ranganathaiah, Director (Academic and Administration), JSS Mahavidyapeeta will be present.

SJCE Vice-Principals Shivamurthy, G.M. Shashidhar, Controller of Examinations Uday Kumar, Dean C.N. Ravikumar and Placement Officer Pradeep were present during the press conference.
