Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer, K. B. Shivakumar has directed officials of Public Instruction Department to focus more on giving quality education for improving the SSLC results in the district.
A release here said that Mr. Shivakumar asked officials to convene a meeting of teachers and students who score less than 40 per cent marks in Science, Mathematics and English in the preparatory exams.
The meeting should be convened to ascertain the reasons and taking remedial measures.

The CEO directed the officials to convene a meeting of headmasters, teachers and parents of SSLC students within a week to review progress.
Based on the performance of the students in the tests, the teachers should prepare plans for improving the results, and parents’ meeting should also be called to abreast them about the status of their children, Mr. Shivakumar said.
