Writer and playwright Kotiganahalli Ramaiah has expressed concern over the growing ‘cultural warfare’ by American imperialism to strengthen its hold over the world.
“American imperialism is now resorting to cultural warfare in place of weaponry and biological warfare. It is heavily dependent on advancement of technology for this”, Mr. Ramaiah said and underlined the need for exploring newer ways and means to counter such dangerous tendency.
He was presiding over the inauguration of a seminar on life and works of veteran critic Lakshmipathi Kolar organised by Kannada and Culture Department in association with district unit of Kannada Sahitya Parishat here on Thursday.

Mr. Ramaiah also expressed his displeasure over the decadence in Dalit and Ahinda movements. “Ahinda politics is turning out to be suicidal for the society”, he added. Dalit movement has lost the direction, Mr. Ramaiah said.
It is high time to think towards human centric politics instead of any class or creed dominated politics, he remarked. Harmony is the need of the hour, he said.
