Hubballi govt. school gets new facilities

Toilet blocks, drinking water facility, and a playground have been provided

Members of Hubballi Accent Round Table 153 and Hubballi Ehsaas Foundation at the inauguration of the new facilities, in Hubballi on Friday.

A philanthropic initiative has helped the students of a government Urdu school in Hubballi to get better amenities and the same were inaugurated on Friday.

Considering the requirements at the Government Higher Primary Urdu School No. 8 at Azad Colony here, members of Hubli Accent Round Table 153 and Hubli Ehsaas Foundation had taken up the initiative in March.

Now they have built toilet blocks, created drinking water facility at the school, provided barbed wire fencing for the school premises and levelled the land available to create a playground for the children to play, and constructed a stage and flag post. According to the members all the works were completed at a cost of ₹5.5 lakh.

On Friday evening, national president of Round Table India Christopher Arvinth, Area Chairman Sachin Shah and other office-bearers of both the organisations took part in the formal inauguration of the new facilities.

They also launched ‘A Greener World and a Better Life for All’ campaign by planting 22 saplings on the school premises. Members of the school development management board and residents thanked both the organisations.
