Hackathon in Manipal from tomorrow

The Wirecamp Interactive, an IT service company based in Bengaluru, in association with the Manipal Institute of Technology will organise the AngelHack hackathon in Manipal on April 23 and 24.

K.R. Ramachandra, Professor Emeritus of SDM College of Ayurveda, told reporters here on Thursay that nearly 150 persons with IT background, including engineers, were expected to participate.

K. Annamalai, Superintendent of Police, Shreyes D., entrepreneur and project director at SDM Education Society and other renowned IT professionals would be the judges.

AngelHack was world’s largest hackathon, where coders were encouraged to develop an idea and build an application as a solution.

The winners of the Angelhack Grand Prize competition will get to participate in a 12-week curriculum to turn their hackathon idea into a startup reality. They will get an opportunity to fly to Silicon Valley for Angelhack Annual Global Demo Day.

As regards Amazon Web Services Prize, the winners would get a prize of $100 in Amazon Web Services credits per person. The winners of Wacom Global II Prize would enjoy an all expense paid trip to CES, Las Vegas, in January 2017. Finalists will then pitch for a chance to win $10,000, $5,000, or $2500 prizes. The top three Code4Impact award winners would be invited to the AngelHack HACKcelerator Programme.
