GP members attacked

Garani Gram Panchayat member Govindaraju T. alleged that five GP members, who are Janata Dal (Secular) supporters, were attacked, while four others were kidnapped by other GP members, who are supporters of the Congress, on Wednesday in Chitradurga district. Mr. Govindaraju said the group was returning from a 15-day tour when more than 50 people, including GP member Bandakunte Nagaraj and Girish, attacked them with lethal weapons. He has filed a complaint in the office of Superintendent of Police and Additional Deputy Commissioner.
