Three persons were arrested on Friday in connection with the gang-rape of a 28-year-old widow on October 13.
In a press release issued by the Tumakuru district police, the names of the suspects were given as Karim Pasha (30) of Chikkathottalukere, Shafiulla (28) of Gerahalli, both in Tumakuru taluk, and V. Raju (45) of Antharasanahalli in Tumakuru city. Following the complaint filed by the victim, the police seized a car and an autorickshaw used during the crime.

They also seized the mobile phone of the woman from the accused.
The woman was gang-raped on National Highway 48 in a moving vehicle between Dobbspet and Tumakuru Jass toll gate on Tuesday.
