M. Veerappa Moily, MP from Chickballapur, has appealed to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to allocate Rs. 2,000 crore in the 2015–16 budget to expedite the Yettinahole integrated drinking water project.
In a letter to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Mr. Moily said that Karnataka Neeravari Nigama Ltd. had so far spent Rs.1,000 crore and required another Rs. 2,000 crore to complete the project.
The Yettinahole project is aimed at providing drinking water to the arid districts of Kolar and Chickballapur. — Staff Reporter
