Four persons were killed and six others injured in a collision involving a Maruti Swift and a BMW near Gundlupet on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Sampath (30), Manju (30), A.N. Mudhol (38) and Soubhaghya Lakshmi (55).
While two died on-the-spot due to the impact of collision, two others were declared as brought dead at the hospital.

The accident took place on NH-212 around 2 p.m. near Garganahalli Cross on the outskirts of Gundlupet in Chamaraganagar district. All the victims were from Shivamogga district and were headed towards Ooty in Tamil Nadu. Their vehicle collided with a BMW car coming from the opposite direction and was headed towards Bengaluru.
Senior police officials visited the spot and shifted the injured to the local hospital. Gundlupet police have registered a case and are investigating.
