Former IIM-B professor Vatsala Nagarajan passes away

Karnataka : Bengaluru : 25/07/2018 . Prof. Vatsala Nagarajan inaugurates L-11, the classroom at IIMB, dedicated to her by the PGP Class of 1992, Rahul Shukla, Prashant Jain, Ashish Parthasarathy and many other alumni of IIMB, on July 27, 2018.

Vatsala Nagarajan, professor and former faculty of Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore (IIMB) passed away on Wednesday.

Prof. Vatsala, who joined IIMB in 1974, served as dean from 1991 to 1992 before retiring that year. On the occasion of Guru Purnima last year, IIM-B had dedicated a classroom on its campus in her name. This was the first time in the history of IIM-B that a classroom had been named after a faculty member, a release said. Her husband, K.S. Nagarajan, passed away on May 12.

G. Raghuram, Director, IIMB, said Prof. Vatsala would be remembered for her sense of humour and positive approach.
