Five government hospital workers suspended

The Department of Health and Family Welfare has suspended five personnel serving with government hospital in Bhadravathi city over the incident of a newborn baby going missing.

The names of the suspended personnel is Reeta, Saahila, Manjula, all nurses; Puttaswamy, a group D worker, and Venkateshulu, a security guard working on contract basis.

A male baby born to Jeevitha had gone missing from the hospital recently. The baby’s body was found on the banks of the Bhadra river later. The hospital administration has said that the personnel have been suspended for their failure to ensure safety of the baby at the maternity ward.
