Fire mishap in scrap warehouse in Kolar

An old paper godown was gutted in the town in the early hours of Thursday.

Vinay Paper Depot, belonging to a scrap dealer, located on the main road of Katharipalya locality, caught fire accidentally. Old paper bundles and scrap iron materials were stored there. The blaze spread and a couple of houses in the vicinity also caught fire, causing panic. However, two vehicles of Fire and Emergency Services and Town police personnel rushed to the spot and doused the blaze.

Town police have registered a case.
