Engineering seats to be offered to those who passed II PU supplementary exam

Bringing relief to thousands of students who passed the II Pre-University (PU) supplementary exam, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), on the directions of the State government, has offered them an opportunity to take admissions in engineering colleges.

The 67,276 candidates who passed the II PU supplementary exam will be eligible to participate in the counselling for the 9,897 engineering seats which remained unallotted after the completion of the second extended round.

While the seat allotment for the second extended round of counselling for Common Entrance Test (CET) rank holders was made on Wednesday, the II PU supplementary exam results were announced a day later. The pass percentage in the supplementary exams (30.78) was one of the best in recent years.

A note from the KEA said verification of documents for the students who have passed the supplementary exams will be held on July 28, while option entry will begin at 7 p.m. on the same day and can be done up to 4 p.m. on July 29. The results will be announced on July 29 at 9 p.m. The last date to report to the colleges is July 30.
