The Karnataka High Court on Thursday said that it will pass an order in the afternoon on the doctors’ strike if the State government and the private medical practioners were unable to amicably find solutions by then, over the Karnataka Private Medical Establishments Act.
A division bench comprising acting Chief Justice and Justice P.S. Dinesh Kumar made these oral observations. They had asked the counsel representing the India Medical Association and the State Advocate General to inform the court about the outcome of the ongoing negotiation between the State authorities and the representatives of private medical establishments and medical practitioners.
The Bench was hearing two PIL petitions filed by Adinarayanasetty of Nelamangala and Amruthesh N.P., who have complained about alleged deaths due to the strike and he non-availability of necessary medical services at private hospital across the State.
