As there has been a delay in notification of appointment of heads to government-owned boards and corporations, the Congress on Friday “advised” Public Works Minister and JD(S) leader H.D. Revanna not to openly comment on matters relating to the coalition government.
Addressing presspersons, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president Dinesh Gundu Rao admitted that there were some issues pertaining to the finalisation of appointments to boards and corporations, though the Congress brought out a list long ago. A few days ago, Mr. Revanna had allegedly said that he would not allow the Congress to interfere in his department as he never interferes with the dealings in other departments. He also hit out at the Congress for taking away the Home portfolio from Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwara and for the delay in appointments to boards and corporations.
“It is not good on Mr. Revanna’s part to speak like that. It is a decision taken by two parties. It has been decided which department should go to which political party... I am humbly urging him not to give such statements so openly,” Mr. Rao said.
