Day and night temperatures continued to rise in some parts of the Hyderabad Karnataka region while the situation is relatively better in most of the areas in Hyderabad Karnataka and Bombay Karnataka compared to last year, as per the observations recorded by the India Meteorological Department at 8.30 a.m. on Friday.
While Bidar recorded the State’s highest maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius, Kalaburagi recorded 40.3 degrees Celsius and Ballari and Vijayapura recorded 39 degrees Celsius each. However, day and night temperatures were considerably lower than the normal temperature in other parts of the region.
While Raichur recorded a maximum temperature of 38 degrees Celsius, which was 3 degrees Celsius less than the normal temperature recorded on the same day the previous year, Koppal recorded 38 degrees Celsius, Gadag and Bagalkot recorded 37 degrees Celsius each, Dharwad recorded 35 degrees Celsius, and Haveri and Belagavi city recorded 34 degrees Celsius each.

Night temperatures continued to be oppressive in Hyderabad Karnataka with Bidar recording the State’s highest minimum temperature of 28 degrees Celsius, followed by Kalaburagi (27 degrees Celsius) and Raichur (26 degrees Celsius). Ballari and Koppal recorded a minimum temperature of 24 degrees Celsius each. The minimum temperature of 18 degrees Celsius recorded in Bagalkot was the lowest in the region.
Dharwad, Haveri and Gadag districts received widespread rain bringing some relief to the people.
