‘Coordinated efforts to protect child rights’

Efforts by the government and other agencies have led to an increased level of awareness about child rights among children, parents, teachers and other stakeholders, S. George, an expert on child protection issues, has said in Bidar on Thursday.

He was speaking at the inauguration of the four-day workshop on child rights in Sharada RUDSETI in Bidar. He stressed on coordinated efforts by various departments and civil society in protecting child rights. Raghavendra Bhat, Harish Jogi, Sister Dulins Crasta and other resource persons spoke. Around 30 resource persons from across the district are participating. UNICEF Hyderabad, the district administration, zilla panchayat, police and other departments organised the training session.
