Congress wave in Dharwad district,find observers

Observers of the Congress for Dharwad district Prakash Rathod and Sharanappa Sunagar have said that there is a Congress wave in all the seven constituencies of Dharwad district.

The observers, who were in the district to collect information from party workers on the Assembly election scenario and about ticket aspirants, told presspersons here on Monday that based on the information collected, they would submit a report to the Pradesh Congress Committee for further action.

Both Mr. Sunagar and Mr. Rathod said that their visit to the district was as per the directions of KPCC president G. Parmeshwara and accordingly, they had collected information on the political situation in each constituency, opinion of party workers and leaders and probable Opposition candidates. Problems in each constituency have also been listed, they said.

Mr. Rathod clarified that they have not received any application from aspirants as the objective of their visit was to only collect basic information. He said that they had also made it clear to ticket aspirants that they were not authorised to collect any application and they had been asked to collect only basic information.

Both the observers clarified that there was no internal rift among party workers in the Assembly constituencies in the district and everyone was united.

They also clarified that there was no adverse campaign against MLA from Kalghatgi Santosh Lad in his constituency. But the sentiments of some local workers would be brought to the notice of the KPCC President, they said.
