Confusion prevails over postponement of PU exams in Karnataka

The last minute decision by the Pre University authorities to put off exams scheduled for Tuesday led to confusion outside most examination centres in Mysuru.

Students, some accompanied by parents, turned up outside exam centres on Tuesday, only to be told by the personnel manning the entrances that the exams had been put off to March 28.

A few students and parents, who were caught unawares by the sudden development, were found arguing with the security personnel over the source of their information.

Some students, who had already learnt about the cancellation through different media, came to the exam centres just to confirm if the news is true.

Most of the students were disappointed over the postponement as they had prepared after several hours of study.

The Government decided to put off the exams scheduled for Tuesday in the wake of developments arising out of the suicide of young IAS officer D.K. Ravi.
