CM to inaugurate tank-filling projects

Minister for Water Resources and district in-charge M.B. Patil has said that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah would inaugurate tank-filling projects in Mamadapur, Bhutanal and Begum Talab of the district next month.

Addressing presspersons after participating in the Republic Day programme here on Monday, he said that the Chief Minister would also be launching the drip irrigation project of Tubachi-Babaleshwar during his same visit.

Addressing a large gathering after unfurling the national flag, the Minister said that the government has agreed to carve 20 new gram panchayats in the district and the final notification in this regard was awaited.

Mr. Patil instructed Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep to prepare a report for recommending that the Gol Gumbaz and other monuments be represented in the tableaux at the Republic Day parade in New Delhi next year.
