The government is with you and has been initiating steps to help the community, including payment of your share to become members of cooperative societies to help you get loans. We are also implementing the Yashaswini health insurance scheme. I have directed deputy commissioners and superintendents of police to initiate action against money lenders who are harassing farmers for recovering dues,” he said.

Mr. Siddaramaiah was addressing a public meeting after inaugurating a multi-speciality hospital constructed by JSW steels and laying the foundation stone for a multi-village drinking water supply scheme here on Saturday. He said he was proud of being identified as a “Chief Minister of farmers, Dalits, backward classes and minorities.”
