There is a huge gap between the actual requirement of development grants and the amount released by the State government for the north Karnataka region, said Navalgund MLA N.H. Konaraddi.

Speaking at the inaugural function of the Nada Kacheri and the gram panchayat office buildings in Shiraguppi village near here on Friday, Mr. Konaraddi said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should not ignore this region and must do justice in the allocation of development grants. Mr. Siddaramaiah should consider our demand in the upcoming budget, he added.

Mr. Konaraddi said the connecting roads in Navalgund region would be developed on a priority basis. An action plan had been chalked out to upgrade and develop 1,200 rural roads in the next two-three years.
