Child suffers burns at midday meal kitchen

A two-year-old child suffered severe burn injuries when he reportedly fell into a cooking vessel in a midday meal kitchen in Malur taluk on Friday. The child was identified as Manoj, son of Manjula.

Manjula is working as midday meal cook at the Government Primary School at Byalalli. She reportedly took her son to the school. The child accidentally fell into a vessel, causing severe burns, at around noon.

The child was rushed to a Bangalore hospital on the advice of local doctors.
