The Karnataka government has decided to invite two-parts bid to prepare a detailed project report for the construction of Balancing and Storage Reservoirs across the Cauvery on the upstream of Mekedatu.
According to Mr. Patil, his department had invited request for proposal (RFP) and companies that showed interest quoted exorbitant sum. Finally, a central agency was shortlisted for handing over the job.
A decision will be taken after holding the board meeting of Cauvery Niravari Nigam Ltd., he said.
