Cell constituted to curb red sanders smuggling

In tune with the State Government’s resolve to crackdown on the rampant red sander smuggling, Superintendent of Police Navin Gulati here on Sunday announced constitution of a Red Sanders Anti-Smuggling Cell.

Round-the-clock vigil

Six teams of police officials and personnel would keep a round-the-clock vigil against red sanders smuggling, to function under the supervision of Kadapa Faction Zone DSP B. Srinivasulu and Special Branch DSP Rajagopala Reddy, the SP said while addressing the first meeting of the newly-formed cell in the Kadapa District Police Office conference hall.

The Cell also comprises six circle inspectors, 15 sub-inspectors and 50 police personnel, who would discharge specific tasks assigned to them.

Dr. Gulati exhorted the police officials to pay attention to securing prompt and reliable information and strengthening the informant base to get tip-offs.

Pulivendula ASP Anbu Rajan, Kadapa DSP E.G. Ashok Kumar, Rajampet DSP Aravind Babu, Mydukur DSP M.V. Ramakrishnaiah, CIs and SIs participated in the meeting.
