Camilla in Bangalore for rejuvenation therapy

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and wife of Prince Charles, is in Bangalore on a weeklong visit for a rejuvenation therapy.

Ms. Camilla arrived here with 10 others, including family members and friends, on Saturday. Under the care of holistic health practitioner Issac Mathai, who has been a consultant to the royal family for several years now, Ms. Camilla is undergoing therapy at Soukya Holistic Health Centre, Whitefield.

The Duchess is said to be enjoying the ambience at the centre and the city’s weather. She is staying at the presidential suite at Soukya and is on a South Indian diet comprising vegetarian organic food.

Sources said that a team of personnel from the Scotland Yard have come as part of her security. She will stay in the city till November 7 after which she will join Prince Charles in Delhi. The royal couple is on a 15-day official visit to India and is expected to visit Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, Dehradun and Pune.

The Duchess had visited Bangalore in September 2010 and November 2012 also during which time she had undergone various therapies at Soukya. The therapies included those for management of stress and relaxation of mind and body.
