Call to ensure better results in SSLC

‘Motivate students to participate in extracurricular activities’

Vimala, Senior Assistant Director, Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board, at a meeting of headmasters in Mandya on Tuesday.

Vimala, Senior Assistant Director, Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board, has called upon the teaching fraternity to improve SSLC results in the district by motivating students to engage themselves in curricular activities.

Speaking at a meeting with headmasters at Gandhi Bhavan here on Tuesday, Ms. Vimala said the headmasters should strive towards improving the results in SSLC examination and placing the district at the top of the list in the State this year.

Teachers should focus on providing quality education to bring about improvement in SSLC results, she said.

Over 400 headmasters from all government, aided and unaided schools from across the district participated in the meeting, Block Education Officer Mahadeva told

The department has been initiating various measures, including conducting special classes, in the district to improve SSLC results, he said.

Deputy Director of Public Instruction M. Shivamadappa, SSLC Nodal Officer Chandrkanth, Block Education Officers Mahadeva and Manjunath and others were present.
