January 19, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:41 am IST - Tumakuru:

V.S. Ugrappa, MLC, has alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party is trying to destabilise the Siddaramaiah government by taking the Arkavathy land denotification issue to the Governor’s office.

Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, Mr. Ugrappa said the BJP had not raised the denotification issue in the Belagavi session of the State Legislature

He alleged that the Narendra Modi government is misusing the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Mr. Ugrappa said that the people of the nation know how the Union government misused the CBI in the Amit Shah case, former Minister Janardhana Reddy’s bail case, and State BJP president Pralhad Joshi’s brother’s case.

He alleged that when Jagadish Shettar was the Chief Minister, the government had purchased a 28,000 sq. ft. site in Bengaluru, a disputed property of the Muruga Mutt, by paying Rs. 64 crore.

But, the site was yet to be recovered by the government even though a case was pending in the court.
