Ayanur Manjunath, Member of Rajya Sabha, has adopted Tammadihalli in Shivamogga taluk to develop it into a model village under the Sansaad Adarsh Gram Yojana. In all, eight villages, including Tyavarekoppa, Bilguni, Adinakottige, Tammadihalli, Chikkamatli, Doddamatli, Gavatetevaru and Hoodi, are in the Tammadihalli Gram Panchayat limits.
In a press release issued here, Mr. Manjunath said that he would work out plans for a comprehensive development of the village under the scheme.
