Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N. Chandrababu Naidu will be meeting JD(S) supremo H.D. Deve Gowda and Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy on Thursday.

Mr. Naidu’s visit is part of the efforts to bring all regional parties together to put up a united fight against the BJP in the coming polls to the Lok Sabha. It appears that the process of regional parties coming together in the “national interest” has gathered momentum with the JD(S) and Congress in Karnataka achieving a 4-1 victory in the November 3 bypolls.

Mr. Kumaraswamy had met Mr. Naidu during his recent visit to Vijayawada. Earlier, Mr. Naidu had supported the JD(S) by asking Telugu-speaking people in Karnataka to vote against the BJP in the Assembly polls.

“Mr. Naidu’s visit to Bengaluru is in continuation of the process of uniting regional parties, and there is a possibility of discussing issues pertaining to bringing all regional parties together to fight against the BJP, with the support of national parties,” he said.
