Hassan Akashavani has planned special programmes to cover the 81st Kannada Sahitya Sammelan to be held at Shravanabelagola in Channarayapatna taluk from February 1. The Akashavan will broadcast special bulletins at 6.25 a.m., 9.05 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 5.30 p.m. and 6.10 p.m. about the event for seven days from January 28. The Akashavani will also cover the procession of the president of the sammelan, Siddalingaiah, to be taken out in Shravanabelagola from 5 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. on January 31.
It will broadcast live the sammelan’s proceedings, along with opinions of litterateurs, publishers and readers participating in the event from 1.20 p.m. to 2 p.m. every day from February 1 to 3.
Besides, the FM station has planned a special programme titled ‘Belagolada Belaku’, in association with the Jain Mutt of Shravanabelagola at 7.15 a.m. for six days from January 29.
