The art and colour of tribal India came alive at the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS), with the inauguration of ‘Rainbow’, a national tribal and folk painting demonstration workshop here on Monday. Inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner C. Shikha, the workshop features artists from the tribal community demonstrating different forms of fine arts. About 180 artists from Karnataka, Odisha, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and north-eastern States are taking part in the workshop, which will conclude on June 12. There will also be cultural performances on Wednesday from 6 p.m. on the IGRM premises at Wellington House, Irwin Road and on Thursday and Friday at the Jaganmohan Palace.
