An assistant statistical officer of the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has lodged a police complaint of mental harassment against Mohan Kumar, the manager of Karnataka Bhavan, New Delhi, C.G. Betsurmath, MCC Commissioner and Ramachandra, MCC Health Officer.

In a complaint lodged with Krishnaraja police station here on Tuesday, Venkatesh Murthy said that he had been harassed by Mr. Kumar when he was transferred to New Delhi to work as a liaison officer in Karnataka Bhavan. Subsequently, Mr. Murthy has claimed he was transferred back to Mysuru at the behest of Mr. Kumar.

Though Mr. Kumar has been posted as a manager in Karnataka Bhavan, he works as a personal assistant to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah whenever the latter visits the national capital. On his return to Mysuru, Mr. Murthy claimed he was not allowed to report for duty for several weeks allegedly at the behest of Mr. Kumar, who reportedly wields a lot of influence.
