Investors ready to invest about Rs 3 lakh cr in Karnataka, says Yeddyurappa

More than 300 globally well-known investors have expressed their keenness to invest nearly Rs 3 lakh crore in Karnataka, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa said on Sunday.

The proposed Global Investors’ Meet (GIM) to be held in Bangalore on June 3 and 4 aimed at devising a special strategy to achieve all round development of the state, he told reporters here.

Referring to the proposed Dandavati irrigation project in the district which the government had “temporarily” halted in the wake of a tribunal appointed to adjudicate surplus Krishna river water objecting to it, he said that relevant documents would be presented.

“We will wait for its final judgement,” he added.
