Government urged to ban Amnesty International

Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (Shivaramegowda faction) has urged the State government to ban Amnesty International India for allegedly organising ‘anti-India’ events at United Theological College in Bengaluru and at some other places.

The vedike members, on Thursday, took out a motorcycle rally at different parts of the town and demanded action against Amnesty International’s India chapter and United Theological College for organising a function in Bengaluru on Kashmir, where anti-India slogans were raised.

They also alleged that Amnesty International has been supporting terrorists.

The State government should immediately arrest the persons concerned at the managements of Amnesty International and the college, they demanded.

H.D. Jayaram, artist Prakash, Anilkumar, M. Venkatesh, Muddegowda and others led the protest.
